Looking back on a busy summer at A'Bear and Ball Architects

It’s been another eventful few months at A’Bear & Ball Architects LLP! While designing and bringing forward a range of architecture projects, we also took part in a number of events over the summer months.

Going to The Big Zero Show

In June, our co-founders Rob and Damon attended The Big Zero Show, the largest net-zero event of the year, in Coventry.

They particularly enjoyed getting to see Ian Pritchett, co-founder and growth and innovation director at Greencore Homes, talk about Greencore’s approach to embodied carbon, operational carbon, energy, and biodiversity and Climate Positive homes!

Attending the Wessex Property Club networking lunch

At the end of June, our co-founders also attended an interesting talk at the Wessex Property Club lunch by Mark Doodes of Mark Doodes Planning, talking about the current planning system and predictions for the next five years.

These lunchtime events are held quarterly and attended by around 40 to 50 local property focused professionals. The latest meeting in June was held at the Marlborough Golf Club.

Sponsoring Longfest

On 1 July, Rob and Damon had a great time at the local village music fesitval ‘Longfest’ in Longcot, which they helped organise.

A’Bear & Ball Architects was also a proud sponsor. It was a day of great food, drink and music, and we’re already looking forward to the next one!

Having a CPD event at our office

At the beginning of July, Lewis Reaney, sales manager from Clad-Line Framing Solutions, visited our practice and talked to our team about the latest innovations from façade framing systems.

A big thank you to Lewis for visiting and teaching us more about this!

On top of these events, the Practice has been very busy working on a range of architecture schemes. Check out our online portfolio to see some of our residential and commercial designs.

We’re excited to see what the autumn has in store for A’Bear & Ball Architects!
